About Us

Fujita & Miura Public Relations is a full-service public relations firm and is one of Hawaii’s top 15 PR companies, according to Pacific Business News.  Partners, Jenny Fujita and Joy Miura Koerte, form a diverse and synergistic communications team poised to serve you.  Fujita is mainland U.S. born and raised and a seasoned public relations professional. Koerte is a fifth generation Kauai resident with strong local business roots and a formal public relations education. FMPR’s Competitive Edge ensures unequalled service.

FMPR’s PR column, “Your Public is Waiting,” is published in Kauai Business Report, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) newsletter, the U.S. SBA’s Hawaii Women’s Business website, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals newsletter.

In 2006, Fujita & Koerte were awarded the U .S. Small Business Administration Home-Based Business Champion of the Year for Region IX, which includes California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii and Guam (the largest geographical area among the ten federal regions in the United States).   FMPR has been featured in local and national publications such as Pacific Edge Magazine, Pacific Business News, Pepperdine Voice, and many others.  We are members of the Public Relations Society of America and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and we abide by their respective codes of ethics. We are also active members of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce, the Lihue Business Association, the West Kauai Business & Professional Association, and the Hawaii Hotel and Lodging Association Kauai Chapter.

As active participants in the Kauai community, Fujita and Koerte were among the volunteer corps that kicked off Mayor Baptiste’s Team Tech Kauai: Adopt-A-School Program, we are members of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce, and we volunteer for the Kauai Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, and Events and Activities and Small Business Committees; the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs’ Cable Advisory Committee; Culinary Institute of the Pacific’s Spring Gourmet Gala Planning Committee; and the Kauai Public Land Trust’s Advisory Board.  Importantly, FMPR is driven by its vested interest in the long-term progress and survival of Hawaii’s economy.
